Thursday - Day Off

Okay since I'm off on Thursdays .... (I'll pause while you make your own joke about how ministers only work one day a week. Enjoy!)........... Okay since, I'm off on Thursdays and I thought I would write blog about stuff that is interesting to me that isn't church related. I know some of you are subscribing because of the deep spiritual insight I always give (again I'll pause for you to have time for the joke) but we'll get back to that at other times. This is Thursday and I'll write about other stuff.

I love the fact that I'm alive right now. I wouldn't have wanted to live at any other time. I know many people look at the problems and long for a simpler time. Not me I love the potential of our time. We live in the exponential age - everything changes rapidly. I saw this video a while back and it shows the incredible change that is happening on our planet. It's about 8 minutes long - take a break for a few minutes sometime and watch. I'd love to hear what you think. By the way, if you want me to answer you comment you'll have to enter an e-mail address. It won't be made public but I'll be able to respond that way.

Hi Ed!You only have off on Thursdays? I thought you guys have off like, Mondays and Tuesdays or something. Listen, about this card thing.....when we got it in the mail, I turned to Rob and said, "Look, two gay guys sharing a beer! Are we inviting gays to church now? " I was kinda excited Ed that we would branch out that far in public. Inviting people who may be outside of our comfort zone. I have quite a few friends who are homosexual. I would love for them to find a church. I can't believe all this over beer. From what I can tell, it doesn't even look like good, expensive beer. As Scott Pollak says, "This ain't your momma's church." Thanks Ed, for making my church mine, and not my momma's.
