Stuff that had me thinking this week

  • After finishing the OPRAH book I also read this book.  My recommendation is that most of us would do well to read it.  It's under 70 pages, it's available online for under $2 and it gives a great way to think about evil and hell and grace.  I love it and will be giving it away to one of my paper people (sorry if you don't know what that means).
  • Governments are stupid all over not just in our country.  Want proof? Here you go.3starbucks
  • Why do we keep shooting ourselves in the foot?  A group of Christians in California want us to boycott Starbucks because their cups are sluty.   Do you see a problem with the cup? Mark Dice, founder of the group, said in a news release. "Need I say more? It's extremely poor taste, and the company might as well call themselves Slutbucks."  You can read it all here.
  • After my comment last week about female attire I took some grief from women.  I was glad to read thoughts similar to mine from a young LADY about in a post called "my thoughts on boobies".
  • This week I've thought a bunch about this.  My oldest son finished his second year of college, my middle son finished high school, my youngest son celebrated his 15th birthday.  AND (the best for last) as of yesterday I had the pleasure of being married to the best woman on the planet for the last 28 years.  The reason I thought about this so much was that all went by so fast.

How could anyone not be turned on by a paper cup? I bet this group would like for us to put some pants on Michelangelo's David.
