Sunday Night Mind Dump

  • Great multi-site meeting tonight. I meet some people that I had not met before. Lot's of great questions and great energy. I can hardly wait to see what God is going to do through Chapter 2 of our church.
  • I continue to be blown away by what God is doing through us just being willing to talk about sex at church. I have had more conversations in the last two weeks with courageous people stepping out of shame. People who are willing to leave behind relationships they know aren't honoring to God. People who are tired of rationalizing and taking big steps of faith. GOD IS SHOWING OUT IN THIS SERIES.
  • Bill Coffman is going to be a really good campus pastor. I am so thankful God brought him to our church.
  • Favorite comment of the day from a person who was attending for the first time. The band began the first few notes of the prelude and the guy said, "AC/DC in church awesome!"
  • Still can't believe how many parents are believing that "their children" are not struggling with sex yet or think we are making too big of a deal about it. Here's some more stats I just got tonight. 60% of high school have had sexual intercourse. 25% have had a sexually transmitted disease.
  • Just heard from our student ministry staff and their discussions on sex tonight with our CCC students. Any of you good "church parents" who think your students are different..... come on be the parents. Lead!!!!
  • Falcons win!! WOW!
  • Braves season is over, can't wait for spring training.
  • Go here and help Jason as he prepares for PORN Sunday.
  • I love getting be a part of what God is doing at Community Christian Church. I can not believe He allows me to do this.

As a leader for the youth group at our church, I've had the pleasure of teaching the middle/highschools about SEX. YES!!!!

But, as I started to think about it, I realized that I have grown more through talking to/teaching these kids than I have in any other way. And I love it!

Overall, I realized that I love our church and I am stoked for Chapter Two and everything that's coming in our future! YAY God!
