Sunday Night Bullets

  • I love being a part of our creative team. Today was our creative team showing out. Love it or hate it that's what we do - Kool and the gang, funny drama, stupid video, great songs, and God showed up and did what only He can do.
  • Four more baptisms today. Two of them were young people. We see so many adults baptized at Community Christian it's almost unique to see young people. But very cool. I love that Don Hayes baptized one of the young guys. Don and his wife Leslie were the first people baptized at Community Christian 17 years ago.
  • I'm old!
  • Becky Clark is great at everything she does but boy can she act. How funny was she today as Penelope.
  • More than 242 households (families, singles and teenagers) committed an amount to Chapter 2. There are more actually coming from some people that are arranging things.
  • I don't feel like I'm old, in my mind I'm still really young
  • Mike Parker is the best worship leader in America. I love we can say "Mike we need a song with the word sandpaper in it. And we get a winner song." (Okay I haven't really tried the word sandpaper but I might because it seems like it would be hard to rhyme).
  • 2 Community Thanksgiving Meals this week are going to rock! Come on out and eat and deliver and just hang out and share the love of Jesus with our community. Choose either Arnco/Sargent or Central Education Center 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Thursday.
  • I think my knees are the oldest part of my body. The rest of me is good to go.
  • I gained 20 pounds during the Chapter 2 campaign - time to get that off. Well after Thanksgiving. Quit telling me I look thin - I gained 20 pounds.
  • I think that's it for tonight. Oh the Falcons looked like ... the falcons. Go Braves!!! Tom Glavine coming home.
  • Just remembered - Next Sunday is going to be a great service. We are going to be doing something we have never done before - hope it works.
  • For those of you who are out of town or just didn't come to church today the commitment for chapter 2 was $1,645,554.40. Yea God!

Okay - I agree with most of your post - Becky was indeed awesome (and a little scary) as Penelope. Mike is the best worship leader in America and we are so lucky to have him. The numbers were great and it feels like there's more to come. But old... Come on Ed! You've been old for a while.

Two more thoughts: Have you suggested mike rhyme with the word orange? And remember that youth has nothing to do with age. Except, of course, in the case of your knees.
