If you were not at Community Christian today you missed it. It seems like week after week we stand back and watch God just show out. Today as we talked about baptism, we offered people who hadn't planned on it, hadn't brought any clothes, to get up and be obedient - be baptized by immersion. Then God moved. I had the privilege of standing at the back and welcoming people as they came out to go get ready. At first service one of my newer friends surprised me by coming. At second service many many came. But I have tell you I was especially blown away at the noon service. We were sky high after what God did at the 10:30 service and didn't know what to expect at the noon service. You may not know but the noon service has about a third as many people attend as the number that come at 10:30. But there were almost as many people baptized at that service as at 2nd and percentage wise it was way higher. People just kept on coming. I really don't know the total number for the day yet. We'll get the all counted on Monday and I'll let you know.
MY FAVORITE MEMORY: We had made sure we had what we thought were plenty of "one size fits most" shorts and t-shirts, as well as towels. I will never forget standing in the back asking people to let me have their wet shorts and handing them to other people. Then the joy of watching people gladly put on wet shorts to go and "do what Jesus asked them to do." YEA GOD! YEA CCC!
I don't know how to make a big enough deal out of what you saw today. God is at work at Community Christian. I am convinced that today is just the first part of what God is going to do to use us to reach the 60,000 unchurched people in our area. Please keep praying. Thank God for what He has done. Beg Him to do it again and again and again. Get busy inviting your "paper person" to come. See if you can't get one of "your four" to show up this Sunday. Who knows what God is going to do?

I have to say, yesterday I witnessed one of the most amazeing things of my life. It took all I had to keep tears from flowing. And I am not an emotional person by any means. I was blown away.
