Sunday Night Stuff

• Wow - the house was packed today at second service. Third service also continues to grow. Quick reminder here - 9 and Noon are the same service as 10:30 and there are seats for your whole family together. If you can consider coming to one of those. In some ways the service is even better in those services when the room is only 60% full.
• I'm really enjoying some of the thoughtful comments on the last post about democratic candidates. So far I've only had to delete one comment. Later this week we'll discuss republicans.
• We have another of the "Church for the Rest of Us" mail pieces hitting the post office tomorrow. I guess we need to get ready for another round of Christians being upset by the offer of grace. Please pray for people that God has prepared to receive these cards. There are many that are looking for a place where they can come and be accepted for who they are and offered hope to become what God wants them to become.
• If you are getting your bills in from Christmas and you realize you might need some help with our budget - sign up for the Good Sense Financial Seminar on January 19. We are also offering follow up support with Dave Ramsey Financial Peace group on Sundays starting January 20.
• Go to the church web site and on the front page you can vote on what you would like to see happen in the drama series.
• Had a great meeting today with the group of folks that are going to Madras to start the new campus. This is an all-star group of people that God has called together to go get this thing started. I hope by next Sunday I can tell you about the meeting place. We should have that all firmed up by the end of this week.
• I'm loving this new series and God's perfect timing. We proposed this series back last April, put the skeleton of it together in the middle of the summer and then the meat of the series two months ago. Only God would have known all the Alternate Endings that people in our church are experiencing right now. YEA GOD!
• I'll say it one more time. This week think of the person in your life that needs to be here Sunday. Take a chance and ask them to come. We're talking about the second part of Alternate Endings "The Myth of Control".
