No I'm not over it

No Sunday Mind Dump this week.  I knew Bill and Jason would get it done.  Spring break did seem to hit at the Sharpsburg campus this past week.  But in spite of that man was there a  great spirit and really good response to the services.

Saturday at Frontline (our monthly leaders meeting) Bill updated us  Community Christian Madras.  He had some leaders speak and then he had put together a short video with some pictures.  At the start of the video there was a clip where we first talked about reaching the 60,000 unchurched people who live within reach of our church.   As I watched that video and the pictures of what God is doing at Madras I was fired up again.

On Sunday morning I had a lady who had been sitting close (in the spit zone) come and talk to me about my passion for grace.  I had two others comment on the statement I made in one service about how I had never recovered from the moment I received God's grace.  There is no way around it I am a passionate guy when it comes to this matter of the church sharing the grace of God with every person in our area who doesn't know.  I'm just not over it yet.

Back in the fall when we launched Chapter 2 we asked everyone there to write the names of four people they knew who were unconnected.  We then together agreed to pray for them, sacrifice for them and to invite them to come and see what God could do in their lives.  Lots of them have come already.  But there are many who still don't know.  Many you know and many that we don't.  Many sons and daughters, moms and dads, brothers and sisters, friends, neighbors - so many still unconnected.  GOD HASN'T FORGOTTEN ANY OF THEM! Let's make sure we don't!

The religions panel is coming up in two weeks - that's a great chance to invite someone to come.  This week we are going to be learning about God as a good Father.  There are so many people who didn't have a great example of a Father they need to see the picture we are going to paint (a picture given to us by God).  Then in three weeks as we conclude the God for Dummies series we will look at the issue of God as creator.

Do your best, invite those you can.  If  you don't have a relationship with someone to invite - PRAY.  Pray for God to be at work in drawing people.  Make the most of these opportunities.
