Stuff in my head for the first time in 2009

  • Since I was about 12, I have loved Eric Clapton’s music.  Here he talks about his spiritual life.
  • An atheist says “Africa needs God”
  • Bill asks a great question here.
  • I have no use for this but I want one.  I do know what to do with this - eat it and then schedule heart bypass.
  • Dating ain’t what it used to be.
  • In defense of teasing
  • Here is something to go ahead and get for next year’s “White elephant” gift exchange.  If you like these and actually want one, stop reading and go directly to therapy
  • I don’t know Amanda but I am the father of thee boys and I remember some of these.
  • The best thing about the calendar turning to January is – 6 more weeks until Spring Training.  If you miss baseball as well here is an interview with retiring Braves announcer Pete Van Wieren

What do you mean you have no use for the net gun? Aren't you supposed to be a "fisher of men"?

That barbecue thing is "to die for"!

Amanda's blog made me cry. I miss doing some of those things, and see nothing wrong with many others, especially is your back yard is big enough.

I'm always at a loss as to how to respectfully address you. Please tell me what you prefer. Ed just doesn't seem respectful enough to suit me.

You did an awesome job Sunday. If I had been a first time visitor, you'd have won me over. Well, honestly, you do win me over with every message. =)

I see that John is one of your son's names. Is another named Byrom by any chance? I went to elementary school with him in Luthersville and last I heard he was a missionary.

Ed is plenty respectful. Thanks for all the kind words. I don't have a son named Byrom. My sons are John, Nathan and Benjamin.

I always had a place for the words to "In the Presence of The Lord". Back in that day I thought it was about some cult experience he was into along the lines of George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord".
