Stuff in my head 1/25/09

Because of some family responsibilities this week I haven’t had as much time to read.

  • Do you have a kid that doesn’t want to go to college or you don’ t have a degree? Doesn’t mean there aren’t good jobs
  • Lot of thoughts and hope for the new administration in Washington. I can’t remember an election since the first Regan election that has people as excited/upset.  I’ve written some very positive things this week I will say I was disappointed by this.  It is politics as normal and reeks of the same stuff we’ve been subjected to since the 80’s. I’m still hopeful but it was very disappointing.
  • I’ve never seen anything like this.  You can almost see if something is on Obama’s teeth and Clarence Thomas appears to be asleep.
  • What do you think of this message from the Busch girls to the Obama girls?

Two things: 1. The picture is amazing! I am still impressed with what they can do with computers now. Did you see P-Diddy? 2. Was the 'Busch' a freudian slip on your part?

I support the President and his office. We are a nation of law and he was duly elected.

That being said I Do Not support his economic, foreign or domestic policies. He is without a doubt the most charismtic speaker in a decades, but High Oratory does not replace Honor and Integrety.

Mr Obama supported, spoke in favor of and voted twice for a law in the Illinios Senate that would not allow medical care for a baby that survived an abortion.

In all that he SAYS in his High Oratory..., I implore that people look at what he says and does when the cameras and teleprompter are not on!

Listining to Nancy Polosi over the weekend defend Mr Obamas and the lefts attack on human life has very telling. (their positions on life and desire to turn our country into a socialist nation has not changed since the new deal)

Forgive me for playing devils advocate here. The reason he voted against those provisions in IL is because they were all ready law. It would be the equivalent of the State of Georgia trying to pass a NEW law saying that running a red light was illegal. (simplistic example I know) As far as the socialist comment: didn't we partially nationalize the banking industry prior to 1-20-09?
