More Sex, Beer Guys and Jason

I know some of you are can't wait for tomorrow and some of you are a little nervous wondering "What are they going to do?" Okay I'm not going to tell you specifically what we are going to do but here is what you know
1. You know we are going to find something funny to do (or what we think is funny). We have that!! I'll wait until after tomorrow to comment more. Don't be late is all I'll say.
2. You know we are going to tell the truth in a relevant way. We are going to be purposely shocking at all. In fact I'm intentionally downplaying the shock factor because I know some of you are so uncomfortable with this subject in church. But you need to know we will not back away from the truth.
3. You know that if you keep your mind and heart open there will be some moment when God is going to move. I have to tell you after all the planning is done and all the messages are ready that I can not remember a series we've don where there is more potential for God to work in some of our lives and the lives of our friends. Probably because there is so much wrong in all of us on this subject.
After the service come on back here and give me a comment on what you thought.

BEER GUYS - I got a voice mail this morning from someone whose been a part of this church for a long time and really lives out "loving God and loving people". She is always on the look out for that person who is unconnected for Christ and His church. She is a waitress and during a slow moment she was standing at the bar rolling silverware in napkins. She overheard three young guys having a conversation about a card that one of them received from a church with two guys with beer on it. One of the guys was saying he couldn't believe the card and that he had it on his refrigerator and that's the church he wanted to go to. KEEP PRAYING God is at work all around us.

JASON Hey if you haven't noticed Jason Collins the younger part of the CCC teaching team has started a blog. You can find it here. I love the post he had here about his small group. Hey I would love to hear comments about what the questions and conversation was about last week's vision day in your small group. Come on people speak up!!
